Hi,

I am thinking about adding some retro consoles to my mame cab.. SNES, megadrive and n64.

Is it possible to hack my PAC controls to connect to all these at once. Just saves me having multiple joysticks and joypads.

Or is there another joystick or joy pad I can buy to this job.

Thanks,

As you've got a PC in there running MAME already why don't you just run console emulators instead? I've got most of the 1980's emus running in my MAME cab and they are pretty spot on emulation wise.

I have tried the emulators - some of the games are spot on but others have issues.. plus the resolution seems to wrong on some of the games... also some sound issues.. the games don't seem to play i like rember them. I am using a 28-29 inch b and o TV rgb 15khz scart. I am using the calamity drivers, tried groovyume and some other emulators. I have snes , n64 with backup devices and will soon get a megadrive with ever drive.what emulators are you using.Ravi_s2013-09-08 11:06:17

I find zsnes to be fine and keya fusion ok for what I have played on it (Sonic mostly), I've set up other systems (PC engine, NES, Gameboy etc) but rarely played on them to give an account of accuracy.

I would far chose that over a massive hackery of pads etc, plus I wouldn't put later stuff like the N64 in a cab anway, far too much reliance on analogue etc
