Disbursement?
What is that ? The fee sorry just read that above .. that’s a lot to pay on top .
Yeah, its an absolute rip off just for filling in a bit of paperwork (Probably all done online) and paying the VAT for you. Varies per shipper but usually about the same amount.

Luckily if you get overcharged for the VAT you can claim the corrected amount back with a bit of work, I documented it over on the pinball info forum as had that issue recently where they charged VAT on the declared value of the goods which was about $80 more than what I paid due to discounts etc.

Those charges - on top of what you already paid for postage - are a scandal. In all seriousness, if you were buying two, it would be cheaper to fly out to Norway, pick them up, and bring them back in your hand luggage. Norway isn't cheap - but the value of the krone compared to the pound has never been lower. It's a good time to go!

I think the fee is the same no matter how much you bring in and not based on the value of the VAT paid, of course if the value is below £135 then they dont process it and add the charge as they expect the VAT to have already been paid by the sender.

The fee is the same.
However, VAT in Norway is 25%.
If you bought the gear in person, there's a good chance you could reclaim that at the airport before flying home...
