Is anyone getting slow response from the server?

Yes, I've noticed it. Since few days, from time to time (once every 10 visits along the day approx), it takes a moment to display the main board page...

Hi,

There's definitely a routing issue:

7 22 ms 23 ms 26 ms 62.121.4.1
8 42 ms 42 ms 41 ms 195.66.225.67
9 4 ms 4 ms 4 ms 217.28.128.21
10 5 ms 5 ms 4 ms 217.28.129.8
11 * * * Request timed out.
12 * * * Request timed out.
13 * * * Request timed out.

This has been raised and we're working on it. Last time it was due to the redundant firewalls going active/active, so it's probably that.

Will update once sorted. Ta.

I agree as when its down for me, If I try from another physical location it works.

Home BT Residential on an 86.241 range

VM on NTL 217.174 range.

Hope this helps.

Hi Favouredson,

What errors were you getting when trying to access the site? How long has it been since it last worked and do you know of any config changes on your end? Have you been able to try different browsers, and finally who is your ISP.

Cheers :)

I was just getting the 'page cannot be displayed' error on both the UKVAC homepage and the forum homepage. I can't recall how long ago it last worked but it is something like four to six weeks. (It would usually take a while before timing out and, unlike the last time I had trouble with the site whereby I could (usually) get over it by refreshing, this time I had no access at all.)

There have been no config changes at my end and it has only been UKVAC affected. (Same as my last problem...)

I didn't bother trying other browsers as it was only this site I had issues with and my ISP is Eclipse.

I will see about getting a packet sniffer setup on the ukvac box to watch for your connection attempts and see if I can spot anything screwy.

Garry - I'm sending you my personal email. If you get the problem again can you mail me to let me know and I'll watch your inbound connection attempts.

Cheers
