I donated to the site last year and had a VAC.backer status for ages, but I've just noticed that it's gone

The way the vac.backer site support works is that basically you get the badge Vac.Backer for every 20p you contribute a week (we thought a nominal tenner a year was acceptable!)

That explains everything! I was under the false impression that when you'd donated to the site at least once you kept the Vac.backer status for life. I'll get my status back tonight when I get home

Yeah - we really talked long and hard about the best way for it to work and decided there was no 100% satisfactory solution.

The system does work like a vids credits though, it does "top up" the time for multiple donations so theres no danger of "losing" previous donations.

Perhaps we should have an PM be sent when time is running out... I'll have another think on it :)

I've set up a recurring payment of £1 per month now, so I shouldn't ever lose my hallowed Vac.backer status ever again! I know it's not a lot, but it's better than nothing I guess.
