You need to clear to the bookkeeping. Depands on the manufacturer of the game PCB and machine. There should be an main bookkeeping key, you"ll have to turn it and press and hold clear.

When I turn it on, error 42 comes up and everything gets reset.
The problem is I don't have a manual.
I found one similar.

As I said, you need to acces the main bookkeeping in order to reset it. You gat an error because the back battery was empty/removed and the sram is full of garbage now. Depends on the game you might need special tools to initialise it, but on most games you initialise it from the said menu.

Is the main board a Pluto 5 pcb where the battery is soldered directly onto the pcb?

If you’ve changed the battery, is the battery fully charged? It might be a case that you need to leave the machine powered on for several hours to trickle charge the battery and then the error should clear itself when there’s sufficient charge in the battery.

Yes the main board a Pluto 5 pcb.
I did leave it on for 3 days and turn it off for 6 hours.
Still got the error.
Also did a Meter readings on the batteries when the machine was on and off and they where the same and looked charged.
I will keep it on again and see what happens.

The only other thing i can think of is too short out the main backup battery incase the board is retaining errors. This will reset memory. Used to have to do this on 80's / 90's machines but i have never meddled with newer ones.

Worth a go,

Dave.

Batteries did not leak.
I ordered some Isopropyl Alcohol to clean the board.

I think there is another battery some where.
But can't find it.

Once the backup battery is low or removed, all the data in one sram IC is lost. On next power up or new battery soldered, there is a lot of garbage in that IC. Thats just how the srams work. You need to clear that garbage. Usually on poker and slots PCBs this is done by clearing the bookkeepings.

Test 7.1 is to check the communication to a Datapak that might be connected to the coms port on the mpu. If you have non-data software it’s almost certain there won’t be a Datapak fitted so it will (correctly) fail the test.

If you have protocol software, you’ll need a Datapak unit connected to the coms port and also an engineer’s key (should be a red square block) to plug into the datapak every time you open a door to clear the alarm.
