Joystick maintenance

Hi,
Do people here use silicone spray as a lubricant for their cab joystick, or do people recommend something different?

What type of stick is it ?
I normally find a quick strip down of joystick and a cleaning of contacts is the best long term solution. I had to replace a couple of springs recently on the small red electrocoin sticks.

There are various types of joystick, but I don't think I've ever felt the need to lubricate any. Will just attract dust and dirt.

You know what, I'm not even sure what it is. I'll have a look and find out. It's just a little bit squeaky occasionally.
