Joysticks for Taito coctail

Guys, I have an old beaten up Taito SI cocktail, there is no game board, the monitor board is duff etc. I am gonna convert it to jamma but the joystics are shot (some sort of 4 ways are i it, rubber grommets are perished). Any idea what sort of joysticks I should use in this ?
I was gonna try and put an old BBC Cub monitor in, anyone done this before ?

if your gonna mame it dont really matter about the joysticks get some new 8 ways of e-bay ...
iirc space invaders are 2 way??

bbc cubs are good for rgb unsure what the connector on the cub's are but should be able to rip a vga cable apart and adapt no problems...
