What are people thoughts on Sega's revolutionary news (from Famitsu) coming up on June 4th the same day as Sony's PS5 reveal and a day after Sega's 60th anniversary?

I heard or read somewhere that the Xbox Series X will be branded Sega Series X in Japan an I think this is the most plausible idea I've heard given that Xbox isn't as big in Japan as PS. Would this mean that all Sega's games are exclusive to MS?

Other theories banded around:

Sega are bringing out a new console, personally I think this would be suicidal right now unless they've got something that completely eclipses the new consoles, which would be awesome. Has Sega created any new arcade hardware in recent years??

Sega acquired by Sony and will go exclusive with PS? probably the least likely although it does fall on the same day of their news...

Thinking about this if it was really big news then surely they'd be having some sort of online presentation and not a reveal in Famitsu Magazine?

A new Sega mini console. All the System 16 and Super Scaler games.

Or worse, a mobile gacha game. Celebrate Sega's 60th birthday by paying a ludicrous amount of money for a digital Shadow the Hedgehog card! Look at all these franchises we've done nothing with!

OutRun 3. Wouldn't that be nice.

Yeah, let's hope that whatever it is, is an enabler for things like Outrun 3 and a new Crazy Taxi etc to happen.

If it's a Partnership with MS then maybe we'll see some New Sega arcade hardware powered by Series X

Wishful thinking...

Saturn Mini? Dreamcast X?haha it's also the same Day that Sony is showing off the PS5

as Sega is getting out of the arcade business a new console would be nice. but Damn A Sega branded Xbox?? I'm down for one of those bad boys!!

There'd be more chance of a Dreamcast mini than a Saturn mini. A Saturn mini would probably cost us about £399

I'm a PlayStation fan myself but if that Xbox had a Sega logo I'd soon switch from Team blue to erm.. Team blue?!

Maybe it's nothing to do with MS, Sony or a new console maybe it's a partnership with somebody else like Amazon or Elon Musk. Would like to see a Sega Tesla console!

Game Gear Micro.. A console for ants.

The main body size is 80 mm wide x 43 mm high x 20 mm deep, a micro size that is less than 40% of the original game gear.
Simultaneous release of 4 color variations, each incorporating 4 types of games. Sonic, Puyo Puyotsu, Shining Force, and Megami Tensei come back to life on a 1-inch monitor. You can decorate your room or play until you clear the game. Next to Mini is "Game Gear Micro"! It will be released on October 6th, the 30th anniversary Memorial Day.

Sega still looks likely to be part of Xbox Game Studios soon (supposedly the reveal was coming on the 14th) regardless of any news that comes out (or doesn't), so still a chance they'll push some Sega IPs
