Had this a few weeks now and have only managed to have 2 or 3 games in a row, so this morning I thought I would finally fire it up and try to get my head around the game, figure out how the enemies work, etc., and see if I could get anywhere near my previous best of around 275,000.

Despite having played before, I only realised 2 things today which I really should have noticed earlier, and which are pretty important - namely that the 'smart bombs' also fire bullets at you (hence, what I thought were random deaths caused by poor collision detection, weren't!

) and also that when you've collected the alien from the escape pod and the screen is red (bonus points time), none of the enemies fire at you.

I figured out these mid-game around level 9 and went on to reach level 24.

Still a long way to go to reach a million, though.

Great score Jay!

I just upped my best slightly to 256,170. That made me sweat, I can't imagine getting twice that many points...it's just so frantic! Great game

I was a bit undecided when I got this (the graphics are pretty poor for a 1983 game, and the designers have tried to rip off were obviously great fans of Defender), but it's growing on me and great fun to play.

Not played this since I last posted on here and fancied a quick casual game tonight with a beer to unwind.

Just went on a shooting spree and couldn't be bothered to milk the astronauts for points on the first few stages (was at less than 60k by the end of wave 4) but sometimes the 'can't be arsed' games are the best and despite carelessly losing 3 lives on one level I ended up getting a new PB - not too far behind Strykr!

I was sweating like a pig after 31 waves so God knows how Danny felt after 3.9 million.

That's enough Juno First for one evening. Back to the beer.

More beer and another couple of games of Juno.

Wave 42 - 1,035,580 points.

I can live with the fact that the score wraps at 1 million, but to put you below lower scores on the high score table is taking the ****!

Great score.

It's a great game, not the hardest to master though.

I've set the difficulty to max on my board and it's still easy compared to Defender!

Thought I'd join the party - I really like this game and while I'm restoring my cabinets I like to have the odd game.

1,690,890 to level 50 on this occasion on original Konami hardware.
