Hi folks, have you seen this?

https://youtu.be/rvLFEh7V18A

He is saying an auction house created a games grading company to manipulate the market and create and artificial bubble to extract money from collectors.

He presents evidence that the owner of the auction house was the buyer in a record breaking auction, which was then auctioned again for higher value by someone also linked to the company, so that it creates headlines that spread throughout the media to attract new people to the bubble.

Has anyone seen anything like this with regards to arcade hardware collecting?Davespice2021-10-25 17:18:22

It is kind of ridiculous hey? These people have no connection to gaming culture they're just trying to profit from the commodification of retro video games.

Apparently it's normal practice for these frauds.

Find something, artificially inflate the value then make a profit from the auctions.

It's just this time they chose video games.
