Heya, if this is in the wrong forum I apologise.
But any comments you have can really help me out into shaping this arcade.
So really appreciate any ideas or suggestions =]
I'm in potentially a really good position right now to ask for your advice!
Having
grown up playing in arcades around the UK, I especially made a lot of
friends in London and have organised dancegame tournaments for the past
10 years. I felt that even with places shutting down all the time,
London was a special area. When Funland/Segaworld shut in 2011, all I
read on forums was "arcades were dead since the 90's anyway".
I'd
strongly disagree - Maybe the fighting game players (having been one
myself) and "traditional" amusement gamers quit, but there was
generation upon generation of new players coming to Funland, and just
last Saturday herein Las Vegas there were over 100 locals cramming into
the basement alone.
My role is part manager but main focus is to
push social media, run tournaments and to promote the arcade side (which
hasn't really been done at all). I see so much potential here.
Promoting the dancegames will be a piece of cake, but I'd like to create
a beatemup/shump scene too.
Would you visit if we had some traditional games in?
I'm
trying to think of the most cost/space effective way (need to convince
management). Maybe a *decent* MAME cab with all the NeoGeo / Puzzle /
Shooting classics would be a good start?
What is a "decent" MAME cab? Price range?
I've complied a list of what we have which can be found on the Facebook page.

ANY suggestions or ideas, please leave a comment on Facebook!
Then I can print them off and show to management.
As
an existing arcade gamer myself I really want to make a change and
provide a place in Central London (we are a 4 minute walk from
Trocadero) that still has a decent selection.
If you ever want to speak to me, I'm Toby and I work Tuesday to Saturday!
