Glad you are making progress @lemmyk2008 , I can't find the disc at the moment, once I do I'll share pix.
Nice to have you back! I was wondering where you up to. Also, I was able to find this picture of a disc on Dragon's Lair Project:
Is this a legitimate photo of one of them? Just curious. Some other good news is that I found a guy going by "The_Guru" that supposedly has the boards. I'll see if I can get my hands on those too. Those might be helpful, as MAME says that the computer-generated audio system is also unimplemented.
One more thing: My dad is going to see his sister who just so happens to live an hour or so away from the location @giantkeeling remembers playing it at. I highly doubt it's still there, but I asked him to go check out the place just to make sure.

I'll preface this by saying that all games should be saved/archived but I do remember playing this more than once in an arcade in Littlehampton and it was a bit of a let down compared to my favourite laser driving game... but it's better/more aspirational than street viper that came out years later. As others have said the DLP does have some excellent information though some may have been lost forever http://www.dragons-lair-project.com/community/misc/2022_data_loss.asp That 'lost' archive contained many useful posts but I think the only ones I have local copies of are for star rider and DL/SA.

I have indeed heard that the game is less than great, but I still want to find it due to its surreal nature, and because it was featured in that "nobody here" video. I was on the DLP boards before the data loss, and that's actually why I'm here in the first place. Also, as far as I know, Star Rider is also technically lost, as it doesn't seem to work in Daphne or MAME. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Hmm, you could be right. That said Matt O has documented a lot of information about how SR works on 'my cool projects' whilst he was adding it to dexter on also on his wiki at http://www.daphne-emu.com/mediawiki/index.php/StarRiderNotes#Star_Rider and I took one of my discs to Ian at the Domesday project several years back and got the RF image dumped (I also have an unverified copy of it here) so if someone has the time and skills to add it to Daphne/Mame, etc they may be able to in future. SR discs are or were reasonably easy to find as some NoS ones were found in a Williams factory clearout 10+ years ago.

Interesting. I would also like to play Star Rider one day, it seems pretty neat.

About Star Rider being lost or not, I did find this video:

I think I finally know how to solve this.
It seems that development on Daphne has stopped, so I don't think it's ever gonna be added on there officially. However, it is an open-source program, meaning that the source code is readily available. It seems that the hardware for LGP has already been implemented, otherwise, why would the game start to run the demo? This is important, as the code for LGP emulation must be somewhere in the files, meaning that I would "simply" have to learn to program and finish the incomplete parts of LGP's emulator to get the game running, and make it found media. After that, I think I'll provide a download for everything included so all can play.
Do any of you think this is feasible?

Also, sidenote: Apparently, Taito is going to release a collection of their laserdisc arcade games on the Switch this December. Thing is though, LGP is VERY CONVENIENTLY not included. How peculiar.

There's no chance that LGP is still there unless it's in storage. I still go to Great Yarmouth every year, i was there a couple of weeks ago. The oldest games still in the arcades are a couple of Daytonas and Sega Rallys, and a Virtua Striker. To help with your investigation though, it was either in the Space City arcade, or the arcade next door with the yellow sign. I'm sure you could walk through from one to the other, which makes sense as they are now one big arcade called The Golden Nugget. I loved the Laser games back then. Also in Yarmouth i played Firefox, M.A.C.H. 3, Dragon's Lair, Space Ace, Astron Belt and Intersteller. I also went to Blackpool around the same time, but i didn't see LGP or Intersteller there, only in Yarmouth. Good luck with the search, i'd love to play it again.
