I’ve had this pretty nice copy of LOZ for about 10 years now but wanted to compare it with others copies.

Despite the cart being FRA variant the box, manual and Map are all UKV.

I always wondered about the originality of the box as there is a spelling error on the back (Nitendo) and it’s all marked as 1988. It’s possible it’s a later run but never been sure.
It’s also marked as NESI UK Limited on places. And NES VERSION on the box front.

Can you have a look at yours and see if anyone has the same?

I’m not too bothered if it is or it isn’t but be nice to know if these are repro box etc.

There seems to be something wrong with my copy of Zelda. It seems to have been squashed flat and turned a different colour 😄

I sold off my Famicom and disk system a while ago. Still miss them but too nice to keep in a box on top of my machines.

It was a trip the first time I used the microphone on the Famicom pad to kill enemies though!

I have a brand new copy somewhere, but it's the JP Famicom cart version so wildly different anyway. If I can find it I'll take a few snaps.

I love the Japanese artwork and the PAL/US box artwork alike - but something about this green...

I have always thought that the Japanese box art looks more appealing than the UK versions and like the artistic license that the designer takes when representing the actual game. It's similar to cassette games for spectrum etc where the art design for your character looks amazing and then your character is represented as a single green sprite...
