I sold on all the ALG stuff years ago when I converted the 2 back to DL2's, there was all the hardware twice.

The only stuff I have left that is ALG is some laserdiscs. I've got to have a cull of some stuff next year!I'll try to get you some pictures of the inside in the next few days.

Here's an old one of the cab "as bought"...

and after..

Thankfully the original artwork was underneath and the new vinyl came off OK.

Good stuff!

It was criminal to do that to a DL2 :)

If you've got ALG stuff for sale please let me know - I'm interested in the Laser Discs I don't yet own.

Looking forward to the pictures, will help out a lot.

I was just removing the chassis out the WG K7000 this evening with the view to start the re-cap tonight / tomorrow when I noticed the neck board would not come off the monitor!

Closer inspection I saw some putty type stuff stuck on it.

Is this safe to remove? I was thinking it might be some kind of repair!

EDIT - It's the glue from the factory so will get it removed

The silicone used to glue the neckboard to the neck of the tube was done to prevent the neckboard from coming loose due to vibrations. it's likely factory done. I noticed you have 2 wires marked as being 12V on your P600 board. Are you sure it's not just one that is used as supply voltage?

I'm not sure on it yet, I'm going to need to take a multiple metre to it when it's on to test what the connections are.

I was thinking of making an adapter which could connect it to the video in slot on the chassis?

Managed to re-cap the K7000 tonight which took forever (2hrs+) but i'm sure would have took even longer if I wasn't using Ian Kellogg's Cap-Kit.

Just need to re-solder the ground from the monitor to the neck and give the monitor itself a final wipe down before removing the Polo 1 25" from the Mad Dog 2 (which will be sale soon) and installing this monitor.

Okay so I've finally got around to looking at making up so new cables.

For the power I'm going to go straight to the power supply, I've bought some terminals and a crimping tool to connect some 18AWG cable to the power supply.

The issue I have is how to find the correct size MOLEX connectors.

I need two for the P600 board and one for the either a K7000 monitor or POLO monitor (depending on how the cabs wired).

Can anyone offer advice / guidance on what molex connectors I need to order?

Looks like a Molex KK style connector to me

Thanks, I'll get a 10 pin Molex KK style ordered.

Just need to figure out what type the P600 uses.

Is the P600 also not Molex KK?

Can you take a picture of one of the connectors?

It looks like it might be!

I'll take some pics or maybe try a KK connector on it.

Going to be looking at installing and testing this in September when I rotate my machines around that I'm restoring.

It looks like it to me. I'd also replace those horrible punch down style connectors for some proper crimp molex connectors, so you get a better connection

After visiting this thread again nearly 5 years later I can see what a noOb I was at this sort of stuff.

I finally understand what 'P7' is so now know what you were all taking about.

I have installed a 26-60-4080 Molex header in it and will confirm I'm getting the 12v from pin 8 (where I believe pin 8 is).

I think the supplied cable from the WG P600 board is a perfect fit, I just need to remove pin 7 from the molex header and bingo.

I'm able to work on this cabinet a bit easier now I have it my lineup.

Before I can test everything I've just got to install a new FlyBack that's coming in from the US in the next week.

For now, here's a picture of the machine in the lineup.

It certainly is a lot more manageable than those deluxe cabs, but still taller and wider than your average door

I'm looking forward to the first play on it since I've own it for nearly 5 years and only just getting round to getting it fixed up.

I realised I never showed this cabinet working so thought I'd show it here.

Pretty much have this cab running 100% now except for replacing the mercury switch on the left gun and need a new monitor surround to have it 100%
