if roms are sent without the emulator then they are legal.
That’s not true. Emulators are legal. ROMS are not. If they are copyright protected you’re not even allowed to have them, let alone share them.
There is a fair use argument that if you already own a game on cart or CD you could have a backup for your own use. But that’s not really been tested in court and even then - it’s still not legal to share them.

Any recommendations for racing rom downloads?
The whole thing is ludicrous now with the mister community having the update_all script. If you look at the content of that script it downloads the roms from archive.org.
Can't direct link to roms but everyone on youtube and forums can link to a script that downloads the roms? I just don't get it.
Anyway, you may search for your mame pleasure on github.....
Then install mame
Then download catlist for mame here
and when you open mame you can filter for only the driving games with the new category filter.

I seem to remember sega and some people who had roms would respect each other and kinda get a nod thst
They had stoped taking money from that game .. so it had exceeded its life in the arcade .. so after a couple years it kinda becomes a 50/50 issue ..
like if you only play it your self

Cant find a racing set. Gonna have to download one by one

But are they modern 16:9 games or retro 4:3? I need old school games
