I think the daughter board on the Cosmic Monsters acts as a substitute for 3 shifters?
I might have a schematic somewhere that I drew when I was fault-finding it.

There is one track that needed to be cut (the one between pins 10 and 13 on 4C) but I don't understand what you mean by 'trace them as indicated'.
