Hi guys, quick question if you don't mind

I've just bought a new soldering tip for my Metcal SP200.

The tip is labelled as SSC-722A 3273, as says it is or SP200's

I've fitted the new tip, but I'm not getting any heat through it.

The tip it has replaced is a SSC-722A 3112

I can get heat through my other tips ok but not this one. Is there a process for bedding in a new tip, or should I be getting heat on it straight away?

Does it sound faulty? Do the numbers at the end being different make any difference?

Cheers

Probably a stupid question but is the tip pushed all the way in?

If so it should work right out of the box (or package even). Could well be a duff one?

Ok, I've sorted it. One of the tip pins was slightly bent - not sure if that was me or not

Anyway straightened it up and tip is now getting heat through it
