Konami Mikie arcade pcb repair

Been after this game for a while now.

The game was running but the graphics were just moving lines over the screen and no background.

I've done a fair few konami boards so I know the common issues with these boards (sockets, fajitsu ics)

I've seen similar issues before with the custom 085 being the culprit, swapped a known good one, no change.

Having looked over the schematics I spotted a fajitsu which is directly responsible for moving data with the 085 at location A8.

Logic probe showed issues with the outputs on this 74LS373. Swapped it out which fixed the graphics. Nice quick fix for a change. Now time to enjoy it for a while.

Nice repair mate !! Great game as well , Loved it on the speccy - think it was just called high school graffiti on that though ??

I had Mikie on the spectrum too Dave, this is why I brought this. Pretty sure it was just called Mikie, I know there are 2 or 3 slightly different versions in the arcades

Ah yes it was I had mikie , I am getting it mixed up with school dayz another cracking , but frustrating , game !

Congrats on the board and fix. I too enjoyed it on the Speccy, but im not sure I had a clue what was going on!
