I've been fixing a number of SI cabs for someone locally, and have 3
machines up and running, however I am struggling with the monitors as
follows :-
Machines 1 & 2 (Midway B&W cocktail US Import, Taito Trimline US
Import) - both working fine but screen flickering (just like when
monitors are filmed on video). Picture is stable but just flickers.
Is this to do with the fact they are both US machines being run on a
step-down transformer ? Would mains filters help at all ? (I have
recapped the Taito which removed a wavy screen problem, but flicker
remains).
Machine 3 (UK Midway upright B&W) - works perfectly but the screen is
in reverse video. Definitely an issue on the monitor as I have tested
the PCBs in another machine, and PCB is fine.
Any hints, tips or help really appreciated.
Cheers
Rob.
