had a quick blether with jon, he has the cable, i will pop over and get it. had a quick blast on the rfm last night, the screen was rolling for a few minutes then locked onto the picture, still not plugged in the speakers though, but when i have the cable i will plug it all in and see how it sounds/plays. but so far its looking like a good fix

a wee update on the rfm.

i plugged the original cable into this last night, getting a black screen

i will check the cable out tonight when i get back from aberdeen. on the plus side though i did manage to tweek the screen with the bodged rgb cable

its looking a lot better, but still rolling. there also seems to be a poor connection somewhere, and still no sound. i also managed to get imto the settings and have now set it for freeplay, on 5 balls. the right flipper is showing signs of a poor contact, but overall its well onits way to being fully working. the playfield is a peach, but i think that is down to the cab not being used for at least 5 years. i might order some artwork for the cab to make it a minter, but first things first

anybody fancy popping round this weekend ??? its a meccano job, gotts to build up 2 naomis and shift the lindbergh upstairs, its going to be heavy work on these cabs. could also do with putting the empire puggy into the garage ready for martin, but the garage is covered in cabs.

the plan - build up the 2 naomis that are in pieces in the garage upstairs, shift the lindy upstairs, get the puggy into the garage

make space in kitchen for another pinball

empty upstairs room, and ditch the stuff in the driveway

i have managed to get the rfm working, with a slight roll on the screen

im going to centre the pots and test the original cable, im pretty sure its still a ground fault, but its playable, which is nice

the playfield is a peach

im sure i heard it say martian bastards, but i need confirmation on this. it does have family settings, but these are turned off.

@rick dont sweat it bud, i have 1 guy from the village lined up, and hopefully i can get another 1 or 2 from the pub. if i can get the lindy upstairs, i will be a happy bunny. the rest of the cabs can wait. i don't want to risk getting it covered in emulsion. the living room will be changing from naomi yellow, to hospital white

awright then rick got it working, but i have tweaked it and got the sounds up and running

and sussed out how to play with the settings. i seem to have lost the book though

still got the schematics, but no book on the gameplay. perhaps you guys would like to have a wee shotty on sunday

i dont really have the space upstairs yet, but i will make a dent in it today. the darkside is awakening

the count so far, 2 are leaving, 1 is arriving

but its smaller that the rest, so a sort of good thing

in fact now that i think about it, frankie boy will need some space too

never easy.

when i got back i fired up the RFM, the monitor is now stable-ish after a few minutes

but what a difference the sounds make. i already have the high score, but nothing special at the moment.
