Inspired by @myPinballs work on recreating a Mr Do! PCB, I did a bit of work on my test ROM to help out with some sprite issues. This led me to have a look round the code...
I know there are already high score save mods from JROK and Gadgetfreak, but both involve swapping out a (usually non-socketed) RAM chip for a NVRAM module. I decided to write one for my existing single ROM module.
A few hours later, some new GAL code and game code and the high score save is complete. No new features other than it saves high scores, and allows you to reset them if you need to (the game already has a nice freeplay routine maintaining attract mode so I didn't need to do anything there)
Obligatory photos attached.
