As per thread title, just wondered if original boards suffered from slowdown when there's a lot of action on the screen (for example, a lot of apples/enemies falling at once)?

Yes, i get some slowdown past lv 20 or so when lots of apples are falling.

Pretty much no slowdown up til then though.

That's interesting, thanks.

Been playing it on the ArcadeSD and it will slow down on the first level (by shooting the Alpha Monster and then immediately after, dropping a single apple on all the other monsters.

No biggie, just wondered how a genuine board copes with it.

As pooman says,no slowdown on the original board, I played it on the ArcadeSD I had on loan, didn't slow down for me on that, Clay's usually pretty good with getting them to work.

Bring it over to mind Jay and we can put it in a JAMMA cab side-by-side with the dedicated and compare.

I've got it on Arcade SD and it plays a very good game of Mr. Do!

I don't do quite as well on the multi-board, but I put it down to the 8 way stick, emulation etc.

The 60-1 version doesn't feel quite right IMHO.

Mr. Do! and Robotron are my fav 2 games. I like the cut of your jib Mr Fuzzy!

I've just had a go of Mr Do! on ye olde 60-in-1 board and have come to the conclusion that the slowdown on the ArcadeSD is horrendous!

The screen colours (Mr Do!) look a bit 'washed-out' on the 60-in-1, but it didn't stutter at all. Compare this to the ArcadeSD, which comes to a complete crawl very easily when there's a lot of movement on screen.

I don't seem to be able to find anything about this on the KLOV ArcadeSD thread, though.

Looks like I need to sort my life out and get an original Mr Do! board.
