[ukvac] Ms Pacman bootleg
Hi All,
I'm having ago at repairing a Bootleg Ms pacman board that I bought off ebay
quite some time ago (Part of the Mystery board sale a year or two ago,
remember?).
It's a "Made in Greece" pcb, with 3 ROM sockets, one 6264 RAM and uses a
Jamma Connector.
Anybody else come across this type of board?
It had been modified around the EPROM area which I have put back to how I
think it was.
There are two Program ROM sockets (11,12) and one Colour ROM socket (13) but
it appears the the First ROM socket takes a 27256 (32k) EPROM which confuses
me a bit as Ms Pacman would only need one of these, so why the other socket?
The Colour ROM socket is for one 2764 ROM. I've got the board to a
semi-bootable state - I can see the start up characters seen during a normal
boot followed by the grid then the whole thing resets and starts again.
I feel I am close.
It was going to go in my cocktail cabinet until I realised it hasn't got any
inputs for player 2, but now I've started it I must finish.
Anybody got any schematics for it (hopeful I know) or do the original Pacman
schematics follow it closely (apart from the ROM and RAM CS circuits etc).
Andrew

Re: [ukvac] Ms Pacman bootleg
I've POSSIBLY got one.

Not too sure. It's a Ms Pac bootleg, actually a miss zola pac i think, is very small with only a small amount of roms and is jamma.

That's the plus side.

The minus side is that it's likely to be at least later in the week before i can even get into the garage to get anywhere near it and have a look.

As soon as i've finished rearrangin machines and stuff i can see if it is the same or not...

Martin.
