Had to wait weeks for these boards to get here! Thankfully they worked first time with no patch wires

That didn't take long

Yes, having already devised a plugin board set which worked perfectly, I wasn't happy. So took on the challenge of making a full replacement cartridge and am happy to report it works perfectly.
At the moment it still requires the main board bios roms to be patched so I am now working out if I can instead implement the menu on the cartridge to make it even simpler to install.

Absolutely amazing work here, especially as the cartridges are getting pretty hard to come by and expensive. Then there is the reliability factor to consider. I'm sure there will be a lot of requests for these.

Very cool indeed!!!

Shame I already tracked down all the carts (well except Peter Packrat) at great expense

Thanks for all the complementary replies

It really is the culmination of months of work that I started back in 2016 when I first de-slapped the games.
The multiple plug in board version works the same and is the only option for a cockpit board set but on the early carts it won't play all the games as the raster interrupt hardware circuit is not there.

Hopefully the menu code revision I want to do won't take long, then I will be making these available for sale

I have also finally sorted out a proper Gauntlet Multi with an onscreen menu and 2 & 4 player versions of both Gauntlet I & II. It is 6 plugin boards linked by a single wire and requires no physical board changes. A forum member does have a set of boards, I am just waiting to see how he gets on with it before putting it up for sale.

Fantastic bit of kit...however I don't like any of the system1 games so am pleased to hear the Gauntlet multi is a thing...will be up for one of those for sure...

This explains why it is taking a while to get the multi kit out - you've created a whole plug in replacement board!

Sterling work Aaron... you have surpassed my already very high expectations!

Top work Aaron. I’m very happy with the original test cartridge you made for me and it’s still playing strong and faultless in my cab. This is the final piece in the jigsaw.
For anyone who has a system 1 cab you need this multi cart.

Packrat - Yes, I quite like it

but my cab spends 90% of it's time as Roadblasters - it's about the only video game my wife actually likes!

Indy was the only game I couldn't be bothered to play on the platform - sold two of them!

Did you get any feedback on the gauntlet multi? Would be interested in that.
I did, but he had a problem in that he couldn't jump back to the menu from demo mode. So I had another user install it which highlighted a different issue that I have now fixed. I can only presume the first issue is a minor fault on the installed board. So it's just about ready to go.
