Yeah and still waiting for xeno crisis.. Seems like forever since I backed that, hopefully it comes out soon as I've been avoiding playing any of the other versions

Next steps are a cab (or two?!) and then the collection will be complete.

I think we have all said that before. Before you know it, you will not have any space left in your house and you be storing stuff at your friends

I’m pretty sure Xeno Crisis is already available, isn’t it??

I literally just picked up the Mega Drive version, and the MVS version was shown available. £200 though, compared to £50 for the MD cart and a ROM...

been on the lookout for a martrimelee myself but the price on that alongside a lot of other mvs games has skyrocketed

Have you thought about getting a NeoSD? Unless your heart is absolutely set on a specific original cart, or you've got all the time in the world to hunt down a bargain it's probably the best option for a complete set, or acquiring hard to find games...

This is the end my cart buying for the MVS.

As above, you can't own them all (alright, a few of you savages do, but I certainly don't have the space or anywhere near the cash!), so I set my sights on owning original carts of my own personal 'essentials', and with today's arrival of Mark of the Wolves, I'm done.

I also grabbed Kraut Buster as it's supposed to be a solid Metal Slug homage... Yet to try it out, but it looks great.

Looking forward to showing you boys the OMVS soon too, and the controllers I've acquired from @MagicTrashMan on Twitter...

All that's left to complete the collection is an SNK U4 and a NeoSaveMasta... Both of which are proving elusive. The hunt is all part of the fun though, right?

So, I've seen the light on giving the old beaten up carts new shells.

I cleaned the originals up, and put the PCBs back in.

Much better now. Holo labels on MS2 and MSX, cool blue shell on X and smoked shell on 3, and I'm really really pleased with the label on MS3 which was heavily creased and peeling. I was able to really carefully remove and reapply it and I think it looks great now...

Plus, not exactly part of the MVS collection, but I needed MS6 to complete the collection. Only issue is it doesn't fit in a shockbox (obviously)...

Well, that's without a lttle finesse...

And now it can sit along side the rest...

That’s the plan! I hear you might be someone to talk to regarding my current ‘Wanted’ thread...?

i’m not currently selling any cabs
except an ok baby / vs city / atari centipede, / astro city

all have 15khz only but i can grab one of my
31khz monitors of the shelf and stick it in a naomi for you

Interesting... I’m actually looking for something JAMMA and 31khz for AtomisWave, and potentially some 15khz JAMMA stuff too. So ideally a tri-sync, but could probably make do with a 15khz only as the AtomisWave will do it.

Perhaps the Astro fits the bill?

I’ll PM you tomorrow if ok?

So, finally, this arrived...

It's the OMVS, it's a fantastic consolized MVS, and if you're interested there's a great video here:-

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MKuGIGHTEPs&t=120s

As insane as it is that I've had all the carts etc shown in this thread for months now, I've never had any real hardware to use it on!!

It was absolutely brilliant to actually play on real hardware, and it looked and sounded fantastic (on an IPS LCD via an OSSC).

This is less impressive than it might initially sound, as I have played countless times on emulation, but my first ever play on real hardware was a 1cc of Metal SLug. Was pretty chuffed. Was tight too!! On the final boss, I was on to my last life and I lost the slug too. Pretty tight!

SNK U4 arriving in a week or so too!! This is a good year :)

I’m getting the 25 inch. It’s in pretty good shape, but needs a bit of work. Just enough to be a good project for a complete cab beginner.

My absolute grail would be the 33 inch with the stainless CP.

I think I’m done. I’ve never been a ‘collector’ before, but this was fun.

I’ve got everything I wanted to get, and now I have the consolized MVS, and two MVS cabs on the way, I really want to get on with actually playing the games.

The plan is to 1cc everything here. (Can you 1cc Turf Masters??!?)
