Namco system12 (TEKKEN TAG) low brithtness

Hi, I'm having a problem with Tekken Tag NAMCO. The game works after I launch it, the sound is there, the controls are working, but the image is dark. To see anything on the screen, I have to turn the monitor up to full brightness. I've checked, and the CPU PCB is fine, the game PCB is fine. I tested it with a second Tekken Tag motherboard, so the problem lies with the motherboard. I'm guessing the CXA1779P chip, but the voltages are fine. Does anyone have experience and could help me pinpoint the problem? Thank you very much.

You can massively increase the brightness in-game through the test mode, on the Display Test screen.

good point, always pays to check the absolute basics first before jumping in to deep. Last night I switched my Hi-Fi on and sat down and no sound, Power Amp not on? I was like ah don't tell me my quality 80s Technics amp has let me down, nah of course not it was fuse in the plug, not sure why it has 3amp but that's not high enough, obviously I never checked it and whats in there from when I bought it probably 15 years back, not sure how it lasted that long so popped 5amp in and music restored

Hi, thanks for your reply. I didn't find such an option in the menu. There's a screen test, but no brightness option.
