Also this trace looks sus

I'll have a looksee online to see how to get my multi to do that, cheers.
You got a multi meter check em for continuity

Honestly, I took a really close look at it and I think it's just surface ... but I'll apply any fixings to that, too ... for the sake of the board ... cheers!
That scratch looks like it has cut through to me ..

Problem Fix Attempt #2 - Battery Leak Damage

Fix #1 was cleaning the FUCK outta everything!

So, I'm going to see if this can actually get things back to some kind of serviceable nature:

That's a fix based on battery leak damage.

There was a fair bit around the battery, and elsewhere in the board, so I'm going to ensure that all those areas both have continuity, and are repaired accordingly, anyway.

Will research wiring necessary for the wiring style fixes for this kind of thing, too. Already got one good lead on that ... :) ... but another might be the teensy-tiiiiny, brownish coloured, wiring some korean guy uses on his handheld projects on YouTube.

Potential Additional Work - Removable Chips In That Area

A few weeks back we tested a few of the chips in that area around @Retroman839 's gaff, and whilst I literally cannot remember the results of the testing ... I might look to finding a donor board for a few additional pieces. :)

Will aim to get back to this at some point.
This ended up being battery leak damage to a number of chips on the board and some trace damage. So, nothing from any mishandling, thank goodness.
Not going to get to it any time soon, but in the meantime I have at least one working one-slot, that will happily go in the Lordsvales ... :)

That is so unlucky mate. God knows what happened to cause that between picking it up and dropping it off.

Maybe it had started leaking and when it was laid down in the boot it then leaked onto the chips.

Where the board was upright mounted during operation, it would have dripped off the board I think.

Vinegar and a swab?

Trying to think of how it was mounted, but I’m pretty sure the battery would have been right near the bottom of the board. So upright mounted as it was, it would have only leaked down towards the volume adjusters and dips.

If it’s surrounding the battery, then it’s happened during transit, unless the battery exploded. I’ve never seen it happen before.

I had to drop it down a couple of curbs and give it a fair old shove in your car. But it was literally 2 days and a relatively short car journey from being absolutely fine to having battery leakage. Just sh*t luck

I do wonder why you keep mentioning 'during transit' in this public thread, mate ... but maybe travelling made the battery expand and blow up ... what do I know?

No-one's levelling anything at you, there's no need to be defensive ... it's okay! 😅

Batteries die ... I've been unlucky ... this one leaked over chips and suchlike ... it's a shame, but I need to sort it ... and I will ... 👍
