Neo Geo Motherboard Question

Hi All,

Another potential "noob" question here I'm afraid. So apologies at the top...

I have a 4-slot MVS motherboard in my lordsvale-esque dedicated neo geo cab - but it's not been behaving extremely well - and also doesn't have the memory card/headphone PCB and cable. As the cab is in my office (and therefore I have to keep noise down during working hours ;-) I'm keen to use headphones with the system - so therefore I'm aiming to get a new motherboard with the headphone/memory card reader PCB and cable all included.

I'm also keen to get a motherboard with Unibios installed.

So long question short - as my cab is neo-wired for the 4-slot, are there any motherboards I should avoid - I notice there quite a few 1-slot versions and I'm not sure which one will work in my system. Should I only be looking for multi slots (2, 4, 6) - or will any motherboard effectively work? Can any potential motherboard come with the memory card/headphone PCB or just some of them?

Your cab'll be MVS wired so it's multi slot only (2,4,6). There's a nice little PCB guide here. The guide lists what boards have headphones sockets/memory card board support etc.
