New Additions x 3

Hi All

Just though i would share some quick pics of the new additions to the family.

Even though i dont have enough room to store all the cabs I currently have I still managed to end up buying 3 machine in 2 months while renovating the house I just brought.

First up: Crazy taxi High Roller

This was an official SEGA conversion kit for a Jumbo Safari upright, done quite well and I prefer the white cabs from the yellow ones so with the added bonus of another Chihiro I couldnt say no

Secondly: House of dead 2

I essentially brought this for the parts as I wanted a Naomi gun setup however the cab is pretty mint apart from the CPO which has been covered . when I get around to it I will probably part this one out and keep the bits I need but until I have to collect my other machines from storage it may as well stay in one piece - not got the guns working yet so this one needs some work

Last up: Initial D3 sitdown

A big thanks to Guddler for this one, it was part of a twin that I intended to purchase a year ago but life got in the way and i had to pull out at the last minute, Martin was kind enough to offer this back to me when I was on the look out and essentially has stored, cleaned & partly restored the cab over the past year so its now in much better condition

This one is staying indoors for christmas, its pretty big and makes my 50" TV look like a portable LOL

Cant wait to get the games room ready to move the rest of the toys over..

Big respect for having a sitdown driver in the lounge! I particularly like that you went the whole way and rolled out the red carpet for it as well

Good cabs these - let us know how you get on fitting a Model2 dash in there for some OR2 action.

I like the Naomi upright drivers too - been tempted a few times especially as they seem to be so cheap these days! I prefer them to sitdown cabs with games like Crazy Taxi - the standup/lean back play and lack of feedback seems to suit the casual madness of the game!

The footprint is around the same as a sitdown driver though and I'm still looking for a Daytona 2 twin to fill the last remaining space in my garage

I think in the long run the ID will have to go outside in the garage

In comparison the upright looks a lot smaller and will fit in the cab space I had allocated, so once it's been cleaned up a bit I might have to swap them.

Think I might have found some m3 dashes so fingers crossed I won't have to dick about with the m2 panel as they are very different and at first glance I don't think they will work.

Only another 8 cabs to find room for now

BIG thanks to Craig at Giz10p I can finally play Outrun 2 as it was intended.

Just need to finish off the shifter install once I get a shifter plate.

Next up is to build a small control mod so I can switch games easily withough dicking about with the IO pins

Nice one Setch, cracking job! The iD panel is ok with OR2 until you get the proper setup installed and it all turns very, very sweet

Glad you found a panel so quick - took me 6 months to find one then two arrived on the same day.

Was it from a Scud or Daytona 2? Don't see many of these parted out now for some reason.

Sorry Martin, I needed both panels as I have a twin OR2 driver. Maybe Ordy has another dash lying around in a corner doing nothing..?

They are hard to come by and when availble are pretty expensive (usually in europe too so shipping often kills the deal due to the weight of the thing). I'll keep my ear to the ground for you.

Still need to find a way of meeting up too so we can complete the deal on that spare iD stuff you have

Setch, do you have any leads on the gear shifter mounting bracket? I got some repros done and may be able to get some more if needed.
