New Arcade in Walsall, West Mids

Purely by chance I found a flyer for a new pool hall in Walsall called GAMEPLAY. The flyer made a big thing about having some arcade machines (including retro) so I popped in today on the way home from work.

Not bad (I took some pictures on my phone but they were crap and not worth posting.

And so a list

2 x Naomi Virua Strikers

2 x MVS cabs - one running metal slug

Mame machine

Gunblade twin gun shooter

Tekken 5 (back projection screen)

HOTD2

Ferrari 355 (4 player linked)

Virtua Cop 3

Dancing Game (no real interest so didn't take much notice)

and the best of all

F-zero (fully motorised deluxe cab with the gamecube memory slot)

I didn't have time to hang about too much but I ended up chucking a few quid in F-zero.

The place has only been open a few weeks so god knows how long it'll last but its good to see some cabs in active commercial use in the town.

It may be worth a visit again during the weekend and I'll take some proper snaps.

cool - shame to think it will probably be gone in about 5 months unless they have a business model that involves more than just arcade games.

I did ask and they bought all their machines outright so if they do go bump I'm taking a loan and making a play for the F-zero
