Hiya

As some of you may know,
I've intended to refocus my collection for some time.

With the latest phase of
my clearout commencing (last few unwanted cabs, remainder of my PCB's/spares),
I'm getting close to being where I want to be.

I'll be keeping a few
favourites (Defender, Juno First, Le Mans, Taito SI, etc) and purchasing/trading
a decent MAME setup, but from now on, my collection will primarily consist of
Pong/clones/variants. It will be a slow process, but here's where I am at the
moment...

Hi

Good to see your taste in collecting "odd" things hasn't changed.

I do like that breakout table...

Good luck with the hunt, sad not to see an Atari Pong in the collection..

Andy - The table top was scratched waaaaaay before I got hold of it. I had a nice doily between the machine and my crap anyway.

Ye of little faith!

Hey guys, just saw this thread. Anyone ever come across what looks like an actual Atari PONG cabinet and game but it has PING as the name stenciled instead?

It'd be a bootleg or a possible hack-kit.. or someone scratched off part of the 'O' :)

got a photo?

No, I'm asking if anyone in the UK has seen one, I'm looking for a pic.

It's actually not a bootleg or hack kit. The PONG machines shipped to the UK from the US had the name changed to PING because of what PONG means over on your side of the pond. Was informed of this directly from the woman who did it before they shipped while doing interviews for the Atari book.
