After all the abuse over the years, seriously why would we want to advertise ukvac?

Even if UKvac is mentioned legitimately on J+, i.e. if someone is searching for a cab or part, and a member on here has it, you get that stupid *oops* censorship, and it even occurs in PM's so how the hell are you meant to tell them?

We are talking about forums on arcade cabs? Come on! Get a grip

One thing I would like you to feedback to J+ admin. If they are going to remove people (for whatever reasons), can you at least have the courtesy to let the rest of the forum members know that they have gone, just in case any deals etc are outstanding

Do Ford advertise for Vauxhall of course not, but they both sell cars...

Phil should of thought about closing any outstanding deals with members on J+ before asking to be removed, would have been the responsible thing to do...

I am sure Admin will put something up though...

I mentioned UKVAC in a JAMMA+ post the other day, edited it to UK VAC after seeing it filtered out and then added a note in my edit about the 'petty filter'. Nothing has happened to me so there is obviously more to it than that.

Ok, since you want these things out in the open...

I'll start with bootleg PCBs. I have never said you make money selling bootleg PCBs, or Dsyde for that matter who was also selling a modern bootleg board back then. If you've been told otherwise then you might want to question your sources. What I -actually- said, was that I didn't think it was very good for forum admin to be selling modern bootlegs that criminals are making money off. Those 234234 in one PCBs and multicarts are exactly that - they're unlicensed, modern kit that a company is making money off illegally, which is why the majority of collector sites don't allow them for sale. Allowing them and the actual sale of a couple from people representing the hobby (which is something a forum admin does I'm afraid), is damaging to the hobby as a whole in my opinion.

And then onto the 'cabs' you sold me. Well, it was just the one cab actually - a Chase HQ. It was advertised as having a colour fault if I recall. The cab was quite damp at the bottom, and full of mold. The steering didn't work properly and the sound was faulty. The monitor AND graphics output of the pcb were both faulty too. In fact I doubt it was tested at all before being sold to me since the PCB wasn't even plugged in when it arrived. So, I contacted you and you brushed it off without a care in the world.

As for the chase HQ, I have NEVER owned a chase HQ, but I do seem to recall one being sold by the old barn, to which I also remember it being sold as faulty as it was working perfect until the colours went on the monitor and/or PCB...

Now if I had "ripped" you off for a cab (which I did not) you and your gob would have plastered it all over Jamma+ that I had ripped you off, you would have reported it to Admin, none of which you did, so as usual you are talking sh1te...

You send PM's to admin when people posts get edited, yet someone rips you off and you say nothing, what a load of rubbish....

I joined this forum to state the FACTS why Phil left Jamma+ before as usual people started making stuff up about what really happened...

I got my point accross in my first post, but then had to reply to all the other stuff as well....

I have said for a long time that you should pick a camp. All these recent problems are from people with a foot in either camp, it only breeds more trouble. If you don't like either forum, then leave, and don't look back. If you happen to still have a foot in either camp, don't bad mouth one forum on another, its asking for trouble, even if you are speaking the truth you will only get peoples' backs up. Live and let live.

Ahhh Mr Welburn, like I said I came to tell the truth, a few people have "flared" up as expected, but I won't tolerate Jamma+ constantly being sl*gged off and made to be the bad guys, all the crap from when Tim, BF left I let go, but I got not problem with Phil, he saved my arse and sent me some free outrun parts not long ago, then says I am a power crazy nazi mod... ohh well, I wont lose any sleep....

retro1's responses on this thread have been far more than just trying to clear things up neutrally, they have appeared threatening and confrontational, I hope that is clear to everyone.

I don't like the mudslinging in either direction, my previous post is addressed to people on both sides. Sure, discuss your issues openly, but threatening or confrontational behaviour is not becoming of any of you.

Like i say, drop it, move on. Personally, i'm not interested in why people are leaving the other forum. I'm assuming they recieved the same inexplicable treatment that i recieved, and think no more of it.

UKVAC is an open forum and as such, provided posts are made in the appropriate section then anyone can say whatever they like both in public and private. Only proviso on that is anything that may require or induce legal action may be moderated, but I'm not talking about bickering there, I'm talking about serious crime legal stuff and hopefully that will never have to be dealt with anyway.

Now whether posts endear the poster to other members or alienate them is an entirely different matter and not relevant to what should or shouldn't be posted. To that end, this thread can continue publicly if it wants but it seriously makes pretty dull reading so I would like to think it can be dropped?

I've not had any kind of conflab with any other moderators before stating my view but I believe it's a pretty sensible view and one I would imagine the other guys probably agree with anyway.
