Hi,

I'm quite new in the Neo Geo world, since early this year I bought a Neo Geo CD toploader out of curiosity.

And very recently I've received a SNK MV-1A unit for MVS games. And got some cartridges and some are still on the way (thanks to Kravex).

I also read about new Neo Geo games, but I can't find it where to buy these games? Any tips here?

An interesting game is Kraut Buster.

What more interesting new Neo Geo games or demo's are available?

I'm aware of this website, but it says sold out.
A bit strange if you release a new game if you ask me.

Anyway, any other interesting projects in Neo Geo land?

Please post the projects you are aware of here, so that we have a nice collection in this thread.

Last official neo geo game was 2004. Try Metal Slug if you like the look of Kraut Buster. A lot cheaper on MVS to. About £40

Check neo-geo.com for new releases from unofficial neo geo developers. Always check out neo dev teams releases on Dreamcast. You can get better deals from their website for the 3 games released already;

Last Hope Pink Bullets
Gunlord
Fast Striker 1.5

Because it's essentially homebrew/fanmade and they can't tell how many they will sell, so they get a sensible number of carts made (or enough to get a lower volume price) and also base it from pre-orders.

I've not had an update for ages on Kraut Buster... but I have inquired for further info.

Sadly if you want Kraut Buster now you will have to wait for the reprint... and Timm confirmed last year that they definitely will not be doing a Dreamcast release for this and for any other game in the future...

Interestingly their website has the following info which is intriguing...

Reprint Schedule

NEO·GEO MVS: none (out of print as of 2017 / available again in late 2018 on JAMMA)

NEO·GEO AES CE none

NEO·GEO AES RE: tba.

I wonder if they are looking at doing something along the lines of Airframe developed for Sky Curser...

That is correct - they said this will be dedicated H/W (Not PC based), JAMMA with cartridges. They will start development next year so a release could be some way off. The first two games will be KB and Neo XYZ. Sounds great to me.

If I understand correctly these MVS boards are “generic boards” where you can load your roms/content in and then it will boot your game?

Isn’t it something similar to 161 in 1 board?

Then why is production so difficult?

They are perfecting the game.

Production isn't difficult. These boards are made by ndev themselves. Not anything like the cheaply made Chinese multi carts. Check mvs-scans for a comparison of the pcbs
