I've sent emails and reached out on social media but have not had any reply yet. Alex (Chucky Egg) also posted on the Facebook page. I'd be really interested to hear from Roger the story of this image and what the Moon Alien connection is, if there was is one.

Pretty cool findings! Would be interesting to know if Roger Dean did do the Moon Alien art, or is someone copied his style. Good luck with your research!

As i was reading your post about it i was thinking you were going to say it was a rock Lp

I know. How weird is that. The thing I can think is is that it was the early 70's and weird, random and strange were a sign of the art of that time I suppose.

I have been working on a recreation of the Moon Alien bezel, based on R64's stitch and various photos.

It is still a work in progress and with my limited Photoshop & Illustrator skills, struggling a bit to get the definition I was hoping for with the stars and clouds .

Can anybody advise the overall dimensions of the bezel and positioning of the CRT display cutout relative to the edges?

Update on Roger Dean artwork.
I reached out multiple times via Facebook and email to him and his daughter over the summer. They did loads of live video shows on Facebook with Q&As. Unfortunately they never answered my questions and never got back to any of my emails.
