Hi guys
I haven’t posted in ages and given you a update on my new arcade, many good reasons why as for the last few years I’ve never felt happy enough with what I’ve got to show you.
Now my life has changed and I’m extremely happy with the new space I have and my plans going forward I thought it would be cool to document it here as well as on my YouTube channel

Unfortunately within a week of moving which was extremely stressful I broke my arm, not looking for any sympathy as I should have know better, but it has taken its toll on me mentally.
For someone like me who is all ways busy building and creating things I’ve found it very hard to be told I can’t use my arm for 3 Months.
So unfortunately the arcade is going to be on hold until I’m probably mended.
Still I’ve got one game I can play, Gorf and I can just about play my Nintendo switch, other than that it’s planning how the new arcade is going to be.
I currently have 11 machines
Gorf
Robotron
Wizard of wor
Donkey kong jr
Sheriff
Sky skipper
Millipede
Astro blaster
Rescue
And two jamma cabs
The plan is to get 3 more dedicated and maybe a pinball, with 9 cabs down one side and 4/5 down the other and have console area and my bass and synthesiser in one corner at one end.
I’m going to have one cab on rotation and I’ll be looking for a defender, zoo keeper and asteroids deluxe for next year.
Two hopefully of these are all ready waiting for me.
Im going to clad the inside with second hand corrugated roof sheets and pallet wood, but first I’ve got to insulate it and get my plug sockets in.
All this will have to wait but it’s fun planning while I can’t do much.
I’ll update more often here and always on my channel.
Thanks for everyone that’s sent me kind words and support.
And hopefully have a meet next year when we are all out of this crappy situation.
Many thanks
Alex

Looks like you’ve got loads of space in the new arcade there and a great selection of games. That’s sucks about the broken arm. Get well soon.

I watched your video last week Alex, that arm break sounded particularly nasty. I’m amazed you got up and stayed up after it. Hope you get well soon, your new space for your arcade looks ace. So much potential there!

Great video. I think we have all been waiting for the move. Shame it's gonna take that bit longer now to get things sorted. On a serious note, I hope you have an alarm system for that room and everything.

Sorry to hear about the arm, sounds very painful. That is a fantastic space and what you have planned sounds amazing. Can't wait to see it when it's done!

Question on everyone lips...Is the Mega Drive ok ?
smiley2.gif

Lol ha, one thing I do know is since owning the everdrive as I’ve been through a lot of the games, it’s library is nowhere near as good as the Snes

Never was much of a SEGA fan, SNES was always better IMO...Zelda...nuff said

One of the crates I brought back yesterday contains Mega Drive, SNES, 2 N64s, Gameboy, GBC and a load of carts...

Doubly happy that you have the Gorf now, mate x

Loving Gorf buddy
Really struggling to get over 20k though.
I know I’m using my left hand but it’s really quite a challenge, any tips ?

Sit on it for five minutes and it will feel like somebody else is playing it for you. A bit like the pottery scene in Ghost.

Great video Alex, loving the new space and can't wait to see it finished.

I know you said you don't want sympathy but the break sounded really bad! Hope it mends properly without pins. I've only ever broken 3 toes and I can still feel the *click* of each one breaking now. Hope your girlfriend is doing better with her back too, my wife had a prolapsed disc and it caused her pain for years until she had it sorted finally at hospital.

Will you be getting rid of your other Rescue cab, now you have the prototype?
