seeing as I have now officially run out of room, I thought I would start a thread to remember where I was, before inevitably having to sell some machines when I get bored and buy some more on impulse!

- The first machine was the O.K. baby, bought from (blacktiger?) on here or jamma+,

- then came the time crisis from an Olly raid special (thanks!)

- The rave racer I bought the shell for £50 on j+, then did a road trip to an ex-op in wales for another for £50, and by combining the two, and a lot of cleaning, board shopping and wiring, managed to make one worker, with a bunch of spares

- I got the chopped naomi from j+, and it was a bargain; super clean and reliable worker

- then I got the stand up driver, and sit-down racer as shells, and spent waaayy too long trying to re-wire them .. the stand up driver is now running fine, but the sitdown driver gave me sooo many headaches trying to get parts, and wiring it, I had a mini-meltdown, and sold the parts off in disgust! .. nearly made me want to quit! .. its got a PS3 in there now

- then I got the other naomi, and a HOTD3 naomi from an op clearance .. sold the HOTD

- finally I bought myself the Time Crisis 3 from ebay as a present to myself, and apart from one monitor going, for an ebay purchase, it worked out pretty well .. I did have to dismantle it completely to get it it, and then re-assemble it

Excellent collection! Miss my old time crisis - great game.

I can't be the only one here constantly thinking how I can reshuffle things to fit in one more

Nice variety there mate :)
I'd love to get on with my Time Crisis, we almost had it working and got a few games in but it needs a little more tlc!

Oh and give me a shout if you want me to make up an OutRun 2 marquee for that Initial-D topper ;)

.. this hobby can be really frustrating sometimes, almost worrying about turning stuff on, to see if it still works, and I probably spend as much time fixing stuff as I do playing, but when you get the odd time that a few machines are on at once, and they are all kicking out their music, its great fun.

@muddymusic; if you need any pics of the inside of the time crisis wiring etc, give me a shout..

@nintendoid: I already bought the OR2 decal from muddymusic, but I ended up liking the look of the ID graphic much better in the end!

Nice gaming room mate.

How is the wheel mounted to the Outrun2 dash?
I've seen many ways to do it, but I'm still trying to find what the most elegant way to mount it is.

Cheers.

I actually bought two PS3 driving wheels cheap from ebay, and then combined the two plastic circular shafts with some long screws to go through the existing hole - and the 'base' of the PS3 wheel sits behind the dash.

It was a massive pita, and I had to extend the wiring loom which goes out to the wheel and the buttons on it, and then repeatedly take it apart and re-wire it to fix my mistakes, but the advantage was that I've not changed/damaged the existing dash at all.

Cheers for that mate.

How did you mount the wheel behind the dash?
Did you use wood/meatl bolted to the dash or something?

I've also seen someone use some drainpipe to extend the shaft to go through the dash hole, but doing that makes replacing the wheel difficult if the cab gets sold on. Also people have a tendency to use the wheel to pull themselves out of the seat. What a dilemma man. There are always some positives and negatives whatever way you mount it!

It's gonna be a while until I tackle fitting a G25 into a Sega dash, so hopefully I can get my head around how to do it by then.

Cheers.
