Morning guys!

Truly humbled by all the amazing feedback. Not one negative comment. Well, apart from some "Milly Tant" who thought the photo of the girl playing Star Wars was sexist. The girl in question has actually made it her Facebook profile picture!

There are SO many people to thank. The machine donators who put their faith in me, the gaming community who continuously supported me and my friends and family who never stopped once during the weekend.

Then there is the "tech" team who are constantly running around fixing and maintaining machines to keep them running for the paying public. Putting shout outs for spares etc. Great team spirit.

Get your pics and videos uploaded and I'll share!

We had roughly 600 people attend on Saturday and 400 on Sunday. Numbers can be improved but for a first time event, I'm over the moon!

£830 was raised for Cash for Kids also.

Really appreciate all the support and fantastic comments.

That's really good to hear, hopefully with more planning next year there will be time to get more UKVAC members machines to the event!

The chaos at the hotel in the early hours of Saturday morning was surreal! All between 3am and 4am. Not what I needed on NERG eve. Still finding it hard to believe that it actually happened. My room was on the 2nd floor and there was more or less a riot kicking off on the 4th floor. Yes, that's right, it was that crazy and loud, I could hear it through 2 floors! Anyway it all ended with a bloke going out of a window and landing on the restaurant roof which my hotel room overlooked. So the guy fell 2 floors. because he was more or less outside my room and access was difficult, the emergency services used my room as a way to get to him and them to get him out!

I must admit a few things opened up my eyes in Newcastle nights out! The couple shagging as we walked past them by our hotel must have been the highlight. They stopped and looked at us in horror

Seems like a good place to say Hello again after meeting some of you in person.

Thanks to Phil for organising it and looking after us so well, thanks to you guys for teaching me so much in such a brief space of time -my mind is still reeling.

Hope everyone got home and unloaded ok... though I expect some people might be still at it ;)

4.5hrs to unload and get everything back into the apartment, sadly my friend didn't show up to help with the unload so I don't think I need a gym subscription any time soon after humping 33 cabs back in. Thanks to forcefulfil for helping get the Goliath's near to the door though which was a huge help.

There's a couple of casualties from this weekend to deal with:-

Space Harrier's monitor somehow slipped about slightly in the cab and the tube got necked while unloading this morning. Anyone got a WG tube spare for a (I think) 4500 or 4900 series.

Juno First has frame collapse - WG4950 - time for the bench for that,

Galaxian lost it's red pin out of the plug somehow but yet it still displayed white for the text - very odd - fortunately the soldering iron was on the table and within 10 mins it was running again.

Return Of The Jedi - PCB repair around the quad pokey socket needed - the cab had an accident and got tipped over on the load day on Thursday and hasn't worked properly since.

After Burner - the horizontal pot sheered off, I mean the stalk separated and half is stuck in the gear - have one sega 5k pot somewhere but if anyone else has a couple in their spares I could scrounge for future.

Just had a really good phonecall with Phil, he's way pleased about how the weekend went.

The best bit for me was some of the socialising, got to meet and spend time with some awesome people.

Big thanks from me to Rav, Alpha1 and Forcefulfil for keep mucking in when they didn't really have to on the endlessly rewarding plate spinning process of keeping 32 machines running.

I think we should ALL give RGP/JAMES a HUGE THANK YOU as well
smiley32.gif

The EVENT would have struggled without him TBH.

He spent the 2 days running around like a headless chicken making sure ..NOT just his Cabs but many others were working and helped others with repairs and advice.

NICE ONE JAMES
