This is a get-together for arcade enthusiasts in the Norfolk/Suffolk/SE area. There are no big plans or hired venues, this is a simple social meet-up for people to make friends, connections, and spend time around other arcade enthusiasts. You will get a lanyard, some small goodies, and some new friends for your time.
Location & Arcades:
Castle Quarter is a shopping centre in the middle of Norwich, which in itself has very good train/bus connections. It is a sub 10-minute walk from the train and bus station. There are plenty of food and shopping options. Most importantly however, there are two arcades; one is a modern arcade attached to a bowling alley. The other is Retro Replay, a retro-dedicated arcade and one-of-a-kind in the area. The group will visit both arcades.
Stipulations:
You are responsible for getting yourself there and back, and are responsible for paying for yourself. You may bring small arcade/gaming items to sell/trade/swap but this is entirely at your own risk. I will wait at the Castle Quarter entrance (see maps link) with whoever shows up until 11:15am. If you arrive late, you will need to find us inside the shopping centre. While we will be inside for the event, it may be hot, so please bring water and wear appropriate clothing.
