October meet... IMPORTANT.. ALL READ!

OK guys and gals... here's the beans!

As some of you may be aware since the last meet Honiton has become even more of a dead zone than it used to be... we have lost both the Dolphin (main UKVAC hotel) and the Carlton (big pub/club where we watched the rugby world cup... pissed at 8 am). Both are still closed and show no signs of re opening any time soon. This has left Honiton with only the motel (aka the Bates motel, where the ukvac re wired the car wash and took out half of Honitons power) and the Heathfield (posh pub where we held the SW meals).

Good news and bad, after some research! Good news, the Motel has just been taken over by a very nice couple and they are desperate to build business. They have Sky and Setanta on big screens, will be having live music most every weekend and.... drum roll... are willing to take you piss heads on, no curfew and the bar will stay open as long as we are drinking!! Perfect!

Bad news... fully booked first weekend Oct

So, what to do.

Option 1: Keep the meet as is and everybody can crash at my place.

Option 2: Cancel October and kick the arse out of it later in the year using our new facilities to the max!

Option 3: Someone else holds a meet at their place on the first weekend Oct?!

Discuss??

My pref... options 2 & 3, but seeing as Backflipper has just called a meet for next weekend... def option 2 ... if so lets discuss dates!

Go for it!

Ps I will post this to both the mail list AND the board... proving my point that we REALLY need one or the other and not both. My vote would be board... but that is a meet discussion!

As someone else already said, can't we get someone to code up a email
interface to the board? Would sort it out once and for all.

I reckon option 2 makes sense, specially seeing some people cant make
first week of October. Btw, if there is anyone in Greater London area
who has a drivers license but no car, I will rent one for the weekend if
they want to drive Fuck, rent a people carrier and make a detour to
pick up various people if need be.

Option 2 sounds pretty good to me, too. Pretty much any weekend after 1st in
October should be fine.

Depending on the date arranged, I may be able to accomodate a couple in my
teeny little car. I think the engine would cope
