Please post it in here if your an old timer that had to re-join and we can try and get your accounts merged and join dates sorted.
If you can supply any old info that would be a great help

.

Keeps it all together in the one thread and you can bump it if we ( well the Admin
smiley17.gif
) don't get back to you

Old timer?
smiley23.gif
Well I do go back to 2000 / 2001 when I was a bit more of a noob than I am now..
(Please get the emoticon with the old man shaking a stick - Bloody kids!)
to make matters worse, I spotted more grey in my hair this morning...grrrr.....

Still being in arcade's in the 70's and 80's makes it all worthwhile!

The ladies love it! (apparently), mind you they may well be blue-rinsers themselves...

My mate started going grey at school and was completely silver by 20! I'm 44 so I'm not doing too bad for an old codger!

Well I feel geriatric now...
Joined 1st Jan 1998 - but look at those points! Woohoo! 15263

http://www.ukvac.com/forum/techscramble_topic312479.html

I've just fired up my SCRAMBLE bootleg called STARFIRE.
The connections are the KONAMI style, and I've connected +5V, +12V and the
monitor inputs.
The game works fine, sound and all is there, but on the pinouts I have it
mentions -5V.
What's that for then? As I understand, certain ICs need -5V, but the game is
functioning ok without it.
Any ideas?

And while I'm on the subject, can anyone tell me which ROM has the title /
intro data on it?
I'd like to re-burn it with the original name "SCRAMBLE" and "How far can
you penetrate our SCRAMBLE system".

Cheers

Jase

I'm definitely an older timer than 2003, though I did have the name frothmeister03 for a while having rejoined in 2003 I think for some reason.

When did the mailing list cease and the forum become live?

I think I joined the list originally in 2001 when I first started looking for a Spy Hunter so I'm fairly sure that's what my first post on the mailing list will be.

Would be interesting to be able to re-read my original noobish posts and see how I haven't really progressed in 12 years. ;-) Just for old times sake

Search for them in the archives on here, once you find yourself let us know and we'll merge
