I have to say that the game is all sorts of awesome.

You can play it as a bash fest trying to get multiballs, but once you understand the Seek and Destroy hurry up modes, there is always a shot to prioritise and that shot changes organically as you collect the awards.

We've got Crank it Up and End of the Line to look forward to as well as band member modes.

If only they'd fix the jeffin' hammer, this game would be pretty much perfect.

Added an external sub for the win.

If I ever get one it will be like next year or longer. A second hand premium I reckon unless I lucked out at a MOPLE.

They should still be making new premiums in a years time Oll.

There are at least 10 METLEs in the country, so you never know if you're in the right place at the right time......

As much as I love the game and want to keep it forever, I only have space for 3 pins so do tend to rotate quite often.

I'm doing the same and keeping an eye out for one later on when my funds have settled down a bit. Like you say, the premiums will be around. I'm toying with the idea of buying one with savings. Lets face it, the bank gives you sod all interest at the moment! The advantage of that is that if I played my cards right I could keep some pretty choice pins in rotation for a long time. The downside is that it would have to never decrease in value which I think is hoping somewhat!

I played Will's though and it is absolutely FREAKIN' AWESOME !!!

It doesn't sound like you need convincing Martin - do it!

My problem is the wife never needs much persuading on these matters either. She's not good for me you know, well, my finances anyway

I've been promising her a holiday aboard since our last (which was our honeymoon pretty much) and every year the money goes somewhere else. In fairness, usually the money pit (sorry, house).

It appears a kit is coming out for all people that were affected by the Hammer not always working 100% on the LE and Premiums.

Contact the distributor your bought your game off to get the kit!

A bit OT, but I went to see Through the Never - the new Metallica concert movie at the BFI Imax on Friday.

Just to declare any bias, I've been a general fan of the band for many years, but lost interest in my 20s and have generally preferred dance / trance music since. It was all rekindled this year when I got my Metallica pin, so I've been foot tapping away whilst playing and have a few of the albums in the car. When I saw this was on, I thought I'd check it out as it seemed a pretty unique opportunity. So I went in with hopes fairly high for a fun couple of hours, but also with a healthy cynicism in case it blew.

What followed just blew me away. Never have I had a more fun or immersive experience at the cinema. Sure it isn't Citizen Cain, but in terms of being 'there', it was better than being at a live concert. There were zero 'pokey stick' 3d gimick moments, but from the first scene, you were just in the band because of the natural way the 3d worked. You could actually tangibly feel the electricity between the band and the audience. Like I say, not in a watching a film kind of way, but by actually being there.

I'm going to try and see it again at the IMAX this week before it comes off. It is in the local cinema in a few weeks for one night, but I imagine that the IMAX experience adds given that it is the largest screen in the UK and the sound system is to die for.

I will give this a 10/10 as an experience. I suspect that will probably drop to a 7.5 in the home environment, maybe an 8.5 if you have a really fly home system.

(I've never given a movie a 10 before!)

No refunds given...! :)

Ooh, how could you wait on the LE? Update the software and get a new magnet board in before you start playing. If you have a spare sub hanging about, get it plugged in too, it really adds to the game.
