I ...Plus finding the right stock and printing makes a big difference to the finished product.
Right! Absolutly right!
I never spoke about it, but when someone requested me or asked me for a money estimation I added this text:
"Note: I spent/spend a lot of time restoring artwork doing my best and they are printed with the best quality:
polymeric vinyl,16 slices inkjet, latex inks,
U.V. laminations. All is revised before shipping."
In fact, marquees are at 20 inkjet slices when I order to print in HQ backlite.
That is to say, I order the best of the best quality options every time!
When I have original pieces or other references, I order pantone cards for to get the best colour match possible and, of course, I have my own printed colours cards in several print materials.
I show a photo from one of my artwork´s tutorials with my cards printed in vinyl with glossy protective lamination, vinyl with mate protective lamination and chome vinyl.
