[ukvac] OT: Andy's Arcade web shop OPEN?

afternoon,

does anyone know if Andy is back from his trip yet,
as his shop is still closed,
the message says,
RE-OPEN on the 25th of May 2005,
i realise that this was only yesterday,
but he may have just forgotten to reopen it?

TIA a frustrated customer :)

"Soucing" sou-ce-ng noun: to find predominatly black and white
(although colour variants also can apply) video arcade machines. Gut
them, hoard pcbs and jigsaw artwork out of the sides. The carcass
remainder, if any, is then to be ceremonially fired in another ritual
commonly referred to as "cabkreig"

[ukvac] Re: OT: Andy's Arcade web shop OPEN?
hi all.

Yes i'm in Hawaii right now, but all orders were filled and completed
before i left and closed the shop, as i always do before i go away,
precisely to stop this sort of thing from happening.

I am not in the habit of leaving orders unfulfilled, or people hanging
on for stuff when i go away, i wouldn't stand for that sort of
behaviour myself, so i certainly don't expect my customers to endure
it either.

Gary, check your order status email, the order was declined because i
never recieved any PayPal payment as indicated in the order, no re-
order was made in the preceeding days along with any PayPal payment,
therefore there was no business between ourselves that i have
abandoned. Feel free to re-order and send payment when the store re-
opens. "Mahalo" as they say here in Hawai'i (thankyou ;)

enjoy...

Hi Martin.

I appreciate that you want to add your 2 pence to an unbased mild
complaint against me, but is it neccesary to post on a public forum
about something you already know the situation on and could have
mailed me privately about, instead of making it look like i drop all
my deals and customers and dissapear off to foreign climbs with your
money. Please see private email.

For everyone else, Martin is referring to a pcb i promised him from a
bulk deal from several years ago that he kindly helped me out with.
One large box of Century CVS stuff went straight from my hands to
another collector on the promise that i would get a couple of pcbs
back working, one of which was to go to Martin. It has been some time
(a year or two?) since and the collector in question hasn't had time
to look at any of them yet, I do make periodical enquiries as to the
current state of play, but i can't force the issue anymore than i
have. It has already been suggested that Martin should be consulting
the party involved directly, without me as the middle man.

If you can't wait any longer Martin, than i'll pay you a cash sum of
your choice instead as i do not wish the debt to be some sort of ammo
for any complaint you may have against me.

By the way, whatever happend to me being on your kill-file?

thanks..

The wedding photographer happend upon a place with a large roomfull
of
classic machines sitting idle (about 50) just last week!

There are virtually no videogames here at all, no arcades or
anything,
just some touchscreens and jukeboxes in a few bars. Only videogame
i've seen so far is in the bottom of my hotel complex, Vampire
Saviour
in an old NBA JAM cab.. eird.

Bullet-tooth Tony (aka lord love rocket) officially married this
morning at sunrise on Koko Head beach in the southeast corner of the
island of Oahu in the state of Hawaii.. congratulations!

'Aloha' and 'mahalo' for reading, i'm off to the bar.

(yeh, i'll stop with the local dialect when i'm back ok? but for
now..)

Andy,

good to hear that you are alive and well and 'slumming it' in Hawaii :(

my intension was not to infer you hadn't fulfilled an order,
as this was NOT the case..

i realise my error,
NOT submitting / completing the order in the first instance:(
how was i to know you were due to leave the country,
non of my business anyway,
i have learned my lesson :)

hope your trip is financially rewarding,
more so than the selling a few coin mechs:)

adios,

GaRy:)

Preceeding days?!?!?!?!?
You wanted this guy to go back in time and re-order before the original
order.
DUDE you're a bit tough on your buyers aren't you!

Wind yer friggin neck in Welburn....

I'm referring to four boards that i won off eBay from Dean just before
he went off to get married. He accidentally left one out of the
package when he sent them to me. Absolutely nothing to do with you
whatsoever, AND i should also add since other people will be reading
this, i also know, totally innocent on Dean's part.

Nothing more sinister than that.

Dean, for the record it's the Rescue board - when you eventually make
it back to a computer :)

Hope everything is going well for you...

Martin.

PS: Killfile situation. You ARE in it, hence no private mail from you,
and i'm happy with it that way, however i now read my ukvac mail
through gmail and haven't put a filter in on that yet. Also, there's
little i can do to prevent your posts being quoted when people reply
to you. Occasionally i bother to read them out of curiosity.

PPS: Hence the comment was a direct response to DEANS mail, not YOURS.
Probably the time difference or something.

There must be a meeting coming up :)

and for the record, the collector is me, and yes, I haven't looked at
the things - I'll move it up my list of tasks to accomplish and try and
get it done before Xmas. (although before the forthcoming meet would be
damn handy)

remember guys - this is just a hobby (for most of us)

[ukvac] Re: OT: Andy's Arcade web shop OPEN?
heh not to worry...

Financially rewarding? not very likely... (rav was joking about the
sourcing of machines, i'm just here for the wedding and a break :)

But it is funny that no matter where you go, or who you talk to,
video game machines always seem to crop up in conversation, and
someone always seems to know of some, sitting idle somewhere... even
if you had no intention of actively looking for them hehe. Anyhow,
that was BTT's doing, not mine...

I didn't expect you to know that i was going away, but i didn't
expect you to expect to recieve any goods if you never completed the
order or paid for them either :p heheh

I start flying home tomorrow at 8am, which sucks, 18 hours of kids
wailing and kicking mei n the back again no doubt...

enjoy..

Damn.. missed out on a corker here.

The real good reply would have been

"Funny, thats what the guy sitting in front of you said"
