[ukvac] OT: Computer Monitor shake

I've a mate who's just moved house and when he uses something
that draws a lot of power e.g. kettle, tumble dryer, the computer
monitor picture gets a slight "wobble". It's like the whole picture
is moving, not individual scan lines.

It's really slight, at first you just notice somethings not right,
but if you turn the kettle on and off repeatedly you can spot what's
happening.

Any ideas?

RE: [ukvac] OT: Computer Monitor shake

Some more info....There are 4 monitors, all of which are affected.
3 of the monitors are connected to one machine (2 graphics cards)
A second machine shares one of those monitors via a KVM switch.
A third machine (with the 4th monitor) is completely stand alone.

Don't know the makes sorry.

Re: [ukvac] OT: Computer Monitor shake

KVM switches are bad monitors and wobble / shimmer in particular (i'm using
one at the moment and it does that with one of the connected computers).

But that doesn't explain the others.

I think on mine that does it, it's most likely the psu in the pc.

Martin.
