[uk-vac] OT: Things to see, do and buy in Hong Kong
I've just found out today that I've got to go to Hong Kong with work
next week, and I was wondering if any of you lot can suggest fun things
to see and do? Also is there anything apart from dodgy DVD's that are
worth grabbing up whilst I'm there?

Cheers

Basically, if you've got time, you want to do all these things:

The Peak
Statue Square
Happy Valley races
Star Ferry
Stanley
Temple Street Night Market
Heritage Museum
Tai Long Wan Coastline
Cheung Chau Island
Big Buddha and Po Lin Monastery

More here: http://news.ft.com/arts/travel/hongkong/highlights

Personally I'd recommend the Horse Racing, The Peak and Temple
Street Market. But its all good.

The Golden Shopping Arcade in Kowloon was pretty good when I was there in 2000. Plenty of old consoles
and computer stuff, no arcade boards though. Bring me back a Commodore Max if you see one! ;)

Steve.
