It gets addictive once you get a few, then stuff comes up you never thought you'd see

My list would be every game I remember from the Local Arcades, then you start adding later ones you hadn't seen but like instantly, before you know it you out of space

You know they are genuinely cherished, like mine are where ever there currently stored, if it was about money then I'm sure quite a few would of been sold now with current prices

When you talk to other collectors, you think back to some of the best years of growing up when your in the arcades playing the latest amazing games, totally understand how you end up with so many

It annoys me when I'm working, some of the places I go in have room after room with nothing in them, huge spaces with odd table or cabinet, frustrates me seeing so much wasted space and wishing I had something that big you could of got every machine possible in

There are people on here, with far more cabs than that hoarded away, never to see the light of day.

I don't think anybody actually does this. People put them into storage until they have the time and space to do what they wanted to do with them, be that build a gameroom, find time to fix/restore them, etc. I seriously doubt anyone is storing 80+ cabs just for the heck of it or to keep them out of your hands. The costs of storage in this country make that prohibitive, even if you are relatively well off. I had to store my cabs for 5 years before I could get them into my new house. Granted I only had 25 cabs but they did not 'see the light of day' for all that time. I kept them because I wanted them and knew that sooner or later I'd be able to get them back home. Does that make me a bad person, I don't think so but them I'm obviously biased.

Funnily enough in a rare moment of candour even the manager of the storage place said 'blimey that was a massive waste of money' when I finally emptied my unit and brought it all home

I did start to tot it up but quickly gave up, it was getting too depressing...

Lasagne is something a remoaner would order. Now the shareholders have called time on Tim Martin from dipping into the tills to promote brexit, he might have upped his game.

Order something British like a curry next time.

I love lasagna, my Dad’s side of the family is Italian. I’d seen a friend have it a while ago and it looked good. What they gave me was not the same thing at all! Maybe it was just bad luck, but it’s put me right off their food for now!

Fair play to him, he has a gameroom plan and paying for dry and safe storage.
He might have some leftover when he is finished so all good.

The worst for being hidden away never to see any light are classic or new cars but I guess when they are worth £250,000+ would you dare take them on the road with all the morons too busy looking at their phones these days

There was an article in a old Magazine I have, think it was the Lambo Diablo when released, a dealership in London was closing, mainly because all the people that had lined up to buy them pulled out, most only buying them as investment, pretty sad isn't it

Anyway, good to know that this article was done after they had been moved out safestore, sensible that and what I would do

What’s hidden away today is still there for someone to play in the future.

Is everything better being out there for the public anyway? Some stuff is that rare or fragile, it’s maybe best preserved and/or brought out for special enthusiast events.

I do wonder how many 'collections' are out there where the collectors are not members on here or any other associated forums.
