Pacman High Score save kit?

I may be readin gthis completely wrong, but ive just watched a video on someone having installed the HighScoreSaves high score save kit, does this also allow you to the other games listed on the website?

It looks like it does at it replaces some of the original PROMs with proms with other games on as well?

The multigame one gives you Pac-Man, Pac-Man plus, Ms Pac-Man, Ms Pac-Man plus and Pengo. Mine has graphics glitches and I've tried it on a couple of boards so gave up on it. Tried it on AC and DC using a JAMMA adapter too.

Probably just my bad luck. Haven't heard of anyone else with same issue. I've now got 3 Pac boards (don't ask) so might try it on the 3rd one at some point, but don't expect it to make any difference tbh.

No idea what the problem is tbh. I emailed highscoresaves and they asked for my phone number for a chat about it. That's the last I heard. I'll probably persue getting it sorted at some point as it wasn't cheap.

I'm using one of @philmurr's multi kits instead, but don't know if he has any left.

ah ok, do they do the multigame thing, i wasnt interested in that feature until i saw a video on youtube showing it, kills 2 birds with one stone as i would love a pacman AND ms pacman machine, and want to save high scores as well

That's all I wanted - regular pacman and Ms Pac-Man with high score saves. Think the highscoresaves one has too many bells and whistles.

Phil's just does Pac-Man and Ms Pac-Man, both regular and harder versions, with high score saves and demo mode on free play.

Neither kit requires any soldering, but the highscoresaves kit requires more socketed chips are removed.

messaged him, i don't really need all the bells and whistles with the other TBH, happy with Mr and MS games with high score saves

The board in my Ms Pacman died and while it was away being repaired I picked up a Bitkit 2, jamma adaptor & PSU to use in the cab. I had planned to return it to the original board when it came back but other than to confirm it works I've just kept the Bitkit in there - it saves high scores, acts as a multigame and being an FPGA it's fairly indistinguishable from the original board. Meanwhile I'm not having to pull the original chips off my board to add a high-score save / multi kit.

i think its a cost thing now for me, the one phil produces is a lot cheaper than any of the other options and sounds perfect for what i need it for

im not even sure when he is going ot make a new batch so i could be waiting for a while, but im really in no rush
