Pc , hard drive not showing up

I want to add a hard drive ,
It’s showing as drive 0 in my devices
Also in device manager ..
Also in the bios ..
But it’s not avalible when I look to use in in my desktop ?

Anyone help me out how to get it to show up as a location /named drive in my computer so I can use it 👍

I think I found a reason as. I have not assigned a drive letter .. probebly this 🤞

when you add the drive you may have to initialise it, right click your start button and go to disk management

find the drive you cant see and you may need to bring it online and initialise it, just right click to perform both of these tasks one after the other

yeah, you cant go far wrong, right click once to online it, then again to initialise it, then you have to assign it a letter etc etc

i cant remember if you have to do that for HDDs for computers though, i certainly have to when im building new servers in work with VMs

Worked a charm ..
Just right clicked and allowed it to name the drive itself then it was right there 👍 cheers man ..
Now got storage again 👍
