I didn't beat the previous score, but more importantly, this one was perfect to the split, whereas the previous was a lost life and missed ghost. If you look at the ending, it was very strange that although I went over the key several times, it didn't reward me the points. Anyway, the life was already lost.

Basically Al, entering the last board (splitscreen 256) I was point perfect. Messed up the beginning to the sit spot and lost a life.
As soon as that happened, I abandoned the game as perfect was lost. I thought about beating my previous score just for the sake of it, but didn't get the key. The score would have been 3,333### but hey, it's perfect that matters.
