Great podcast as usual, chaps - and good choice for the 10p challenge. Unfortunately, that ROM isn't working on my horizontal cab for some reason, and sorting it out is gonna take more time than I have to play with at the mo :-(

Apropos that new RGB-PI JAMMA hat you mentioned last time. I've had the standard RGB-PI hat for a couple of months now, and when it's coupled up with their custom frontend, the picture it gives on a bog standard CRT is absolutely brilliant. It makes my 14" Samsung look like an arcade monitor. For some reason, they don't advertise the price of that either. You have to fill out a form on their website to find out how much it costs and where you have to send the money, which sounds a bit dodgy. But the service was friendly, the delivery quick and the product top notch. I imagine that when their JAMMA hat is finally coupled with the new rPI 4B, it'll be a match made in arcade heaven.

LOL. They're certainly not doing themselves any favours. I um-ed and ah-ed over the RGB-PI for ages. It almost seemed like a magic beans scenario. However, after reading round on the interwebz, I decided to take the plunge, and I have to say, the beanstalk is glorious! It takes RGB video and audio off the GPIO pins. If their JAMMA hat is anywhere near as good, it'll be brilliant. Maybe you guys should door step them and get the lowdown?

Is a bit odd their pricing policy, I ordered one as soon as I saw it advertised on Twitter, I'd bought an RGB-Pi Scart adapter before so knew they were trustworthy and they are great to deal with, fast delivery too. First impressions are very good indeed, it uses the same OS as the Scart adapter and auto detects which hardware it's running on and offers you some cab friendly arcade specific options. I've been testing advmame and the resolution switching is spot on, haven't noticed any problems yet, seemingly zero lag on the controls, built in amp sounds great too. Like you say, once Pi 4 support is released it'll be even better, for a little over 50 euros posted it's a great deal. I'd be happy to supply mine for testing if you'd like to review it for the podcast?

EUR 50-ish seems very reasonable for this kind of kit. With built in amp and no lag, what's not to like? I'm sure I'm not the only one who'd like to hear a review on the podcast!

A review would be great if you have the time and are inclined to do so. May be three way comparison with arcadeforge's Pi2jamma (I can lend you one for the review if needed) and the PI2jammathingy.

That's a great idea! Up for testing, Vic?
